About Dr Ritz
Ritika Suk Birah (aka ‘Dr Ritz’) was born in Berkshire, raised in Singapore and spent university holidays in Hong Kong with her family. Experiencing different parts of the world and being a British Indian herself, she has a deep appreciation for different cultures.
A married mother of two boys under the age of 5, raising her family has taught her to embrace the beauty of chaos and the practice of patience.
Her hobbies include reformer pilates, jumping on a trampoline, cooking and (unsurprisingly!) travelling. While she particularly enjoys being by the ocean and moments of solitude, spending time with her boys is what she loves.
Career Insights
Dr Ritz is a qualified Consultant Counselling Psychologist (HCPC), with a background in Neuroscience (BSc.Hons).
With over 12 years experience in the clinical field, she delivers sought after mental health and wellbeing programmes which are rooted in neuroscience and resilience to private and public organisations. Dr Ritz balances her time between individual therapy, delivering workshops and developing bespoke programmes for workplaces.

Reflect With Dr Ritz
“I believe the route to better mental health is achieved by small, incremental improvements made on a daily basis. These improvements compound over time” - Dr Ritz
What is it?
A confidential messaging service that is designed to promote mental health and wellbeing.
What problem does it solve?
At Reflect with Dr Ritz, our goal is to boost your mental wellbeing through forming healthy habits.
Research spanning decades consistently shows that doing the same simple thing over and over in a certain situation creates habits.
Habits like regular exercise, taking moments for mindfulness, journalling, staying connected with people, or enjoying hobbies can really make a difference. They not only make life more enjoyable but also help us feel better overall. When we make habits that prioritise taking care of ourselves and growing as individuals, we find ourselves better equipped to handle whatever life throws our way. It's all about finding those habits that really resonate with who we are and what we want in life. That's the secret to finding more happiness and fulfilment.
How does it work?
The service sends daily, weekly and ad hoc mixed media messages directly to the subscribers personal Whatsapp account.
Messages are sent at specific times of the day with the idea to form positive mental outlooks.
Subscribers are able to confidentially respond to messages so they have a running correspondence.
The service incorporates tips and techniques constructed from psychology and neuroscience.

“I really love the different ‘repeat after me’ bits each morning. I look forward to seeing what they are. I loved the walking one. Really interesting. Keeping us up to date with research is a really cool and interesting addition.”
- Jenni
“I started Reflect with Dr Ritz because I wanted to make positive changes to my life. The journal has allowed me to become more organised and find time for the most important things”
- Tom
“I read somewhere that progress against goals is made making small, incremental improvements, with the aim of improving yourself 1% every day. This service has absolutely helped me do this and has been a game-changer for me working towards my goals! The constant reminders, the routine-like nature of the messages coming at consistent times, and the questions being posed allow you to constantly assess and improve your mindset for tackling the next day in a consistent manner.
I also find the guidance and tips messages really useful, especially when first using the service. The messages helped me understand how to write good objectives and what kind of things in every day life I can be grateful for. I have found the service to be very thought provoking and made me think about everyday experiences in a different, more positive way, which has helped me build up my confidence as I now realise I am doing something valuable every day for myself.
Overall, I'm really finding the benefit of this service and will for sure continue to use it!” - D S B

“The videos are perfect and exceeded expectations. We absolutely loved the content you created for Children’s Mental health week.”
“My well-being journey started with 121 sessions with Ritika in 2020, and I’m so grateful that we met. I was struggling to manage pressure at work and could feel the stress building. The sessions have covered so many different themes, in particular with a focus on understanding myself better, including why I react to certain situations and what triggers I have. I feel happier with where I am in life and proud of what I’ve achieved, especially when I look at changes to my self awareness, self compassion, motivation and fulfilment. I feel the positive effects on relationships with family, friends and colleagues, and excited where things will lead. Ritika’s approach shows genuine interest and makes me feel heard. It makes me feel comfortable talking about things I’ve never spoken to anyone about before, whilst never feeling there is any pressure to divulge anything. Thanks Ritika!!”
